Yes! We have successfully pushed for Finland to set a goal of allocating 4% of its GDP to research and innovation, making us one of the EU’s most ambitious countries in this regard. We strongly believe that funding research and innovation, rather than providing state subsidies and funding to specific companies, is a fairer and more productive use of EU funds. Simultaneously, we need to ensure a fair single market and keep up with competitors such as the US. By funding research and innovation, we do not interfere with the market economy; instead, we provide the market with the best tools possible to succeed and keep the EU competitive.
