Press Release: Survey of EP candidate lists’ views on Research and Innovation

Brussels, May 3rd, 2024

The Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE) together with the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (EURODOC), the International Consortium of Research Staff Organisations (ICoRSA), the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) and the Young Academy Europe (YAE), are launching a survey to gather the views on research and innovation of the candidate parties to the European Parliament on 6-9 June.

The newly elected European Parliament will play a decisive role in the preparation of the EU’s policies on Research and Innovation, which are key to the construction of Europe’s future.

The survey, consisting of ten questions and available in all European languages, is conducted in collaboration with national organisations in the EU-27 countries. It is been sent out through the EU-Survey system, starting on 3 May, to all lists of candidates for the June European Parliament election. The responses will be posted on dedicated pages of ISE’s website.

The aim is to provide information and insight into the positions of the candidate parties to the academic and research communities of each country as well as to all interested citizens who think that research and innovation policies are of utmost importance for Europe.

The dedicated webpage for the survey can be found here and includes the questionnaire for your reference:
